Ever wondered which issue of Magic Magazine has articles about Houdini’s infamous water torture cell? Well, wonder no more: a fully-searchable index of all 301 issues of the venerable magic periodical is available online, right at your fingertips.
Simply head over to http://www.magicmagazine.com/search, type in whatever info you’ve got in the boxes on the left (author, subject, article title, etc.), click search, and every instance which your search has appeared in the magazine will appear in a field on the right. You can see your results matched by title, author, issue number, even get a page number so you know exactly where the article is located.
This is only an index, however, and doesn’t actually include access to the article you might be looking for. For that, you’ll need an issue of Magic Magazine at your disposal. If you’re looking for those, you have a few options:
Whether you have digital or physical issues, you have a ton of expertly-crafted magic articles and advice. Now, sort through it with ease.
There are all sorts of environmental conditions that can make a trick harder to pull off, but a
lack of gravity
is certainly one of the more unusual challenges a magician has ever faced. The following article from the September 1991 issue of Magic Magazine recapped the very first extraterrestrial card trick to ever be performed, complete with a little help from Mission Control.
If you have holes in your catalog of Magic Magazine back issues, now’s the time to fill them in. All of the back issue archives are being liquidated, all the way back to the very first year of publication. You can purchase individual issues for 50% or you can get the whole shebang – all 301 issues of Magic Magazine – for the first time ever.
The “complete collection,” as it’s being called, even includes some special bonuses, like the misprinted premier issue that’s previously never been for sale. The entire run costs $575, (plus $125.50 for postage), and is only available to ship to the US.
There is a catch, though. Supplies are naturally limited, and the sale only lasts through Monday, November 27th. If you want something, get moving over to Magic Magazine’s Moving Sale.
Update: The 50% off sale is over, but the complete collection is still in stock as of November 28.
